What good news: Jesus is His Righteous One who takes away our sin.

 

King David of the Old Testament said in Psalm 51:2-3:

“Wash away thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.”

 

Jesus said,

 “Come to Me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

 

And through the Old Testament Prophet Joel,

“Therefore also now, says The Lord, turn to Me with all your heart…’

“Turn unto The Lord your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness...”  (from Joel 2:12-13)...

 

And from John 14:23

“If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our abode with him.”
